LCD TV industry accelerate the "green" to response to Earth Day

In response to the 2010 World Earth Day (Earth Day 2010; "April 22nd"), a number of worldwide LCD TV (LCD TV) manufacturers have released their latest progress on the development of green TV (GreenTV). LCD TV Association (LCD TV Association) pointed out that the entire LCD TV supply chain has been accelerated "green" movement, green TV era will come soon.

"With the power consumption of electronic devices has become increasingly important, the global television supply chain has been transferred greening to technology and product," Chief researcher of LCD TV Association, David Barnes said.

LCD TV Association launched "GreenTV" scheme in 2008 to help LCD TV manufacturers and brand agent to reduce energy consumption and entire supply chain system’s impact on the environmental or "carbon footprint." According to the Association, their “GreenTV” scheme has been reduced 60% of energy consumption till now.
